Step 9 is building the modules together
Step 10 is building the hed

News / Looking for community manager
« on: December 10, 2016, 04:01:54 pm »
Hello everybody,
As I mentioned over here it would be quite awesome to have a holiday event - with some more discussion on the web-chat and thelike it'd actually be awesome to have, like, best-project-this-month voting or other things.
However, such things require time, management and thelike. However, if done successfully, it could increase the activity here quite some and make this an even nicer place to stay!
So, here I am looking for some kind of community-manager,  somebody who could possibly organize such events, hook stuff up with social networks and whatever currently flows the internet!

So, I'd be happy about anybody willing, no worries, I'm sticking around ;)

Ball Machines, Lifts and Elements / Knex Parallel Arm Lift

Knex Parallel Arm Lift
--> View Instruction

This instruction is only imported from instructables, nothing new.

Here is my newest lift: the Parallel arm lift!
Most credits go to Shadowman, as he invented this lift first in his unfinished ball machine, I tried to rebuild it from the vid (only managed to rebuild the front part of the arm and some basic ideas).
So, this instruction is very complicated and nothing for absolutely beginners.
And it is also loooooooooong.
Be sure that all 3D connectors are turned correctly, with some you also have to pay attention that they aren't turned 180°, I'll note which in the image notes, so be sure to read them!
Sorry for any fails I made, making instructions was quite complicated.
And feel free to ask if you have any problems!
I use a plug-in motor, and I would recommend also using one as they have more power than the battery motors. Maybe you could use two battery motors...
Be sure to comment, rate and subscribe!
Oh, and the first one to make a piece count will earn a patch (But please be honest about it)
Be sure to check out my website!

News / Looking for moderator
« on: September 18, 2016, 02:35:59 pm »
We already found our moderator, more info about that here

Old post:

Hello fellow knexers,
you might have noticed that I've been quite busy with university recently, I simply wasn't able to check the forums at all the past week or so. However, that also means that I was unable to check if things run smoothly. By that I mean that I was unable to check if the conversations in public are done nicely (you know, moderate the forum). That is where you guys come in play: I think it's time to add a moderator, and I wanted to ask who'd be interested in becoming a mod and why. The extra responsibilities are basically just checking if posts are nice/within the boundries of the forum rules.

Along with this I'm also anouncing the demoting of sandroknexmaster, I talked with him privately and he is ok with that, the reason for that is that sandro has been quite inactive ever since shortly after knexflux went public.

News / Instruction Engine Updates
« on: August 07, 2016, 09:28:48 pm »
So, I finally got around updating the instruction engine a bit more!
On the top of each instruction is now a link to view all steps on the same page, no need anymore for the weird manuall URL modifying!

And, in addition, I added PDF support! You can now download each instruction as PDF for easy offline-usage! For that you also find the link at the top of an isntruction.

Please report any bugs you find!
