General Knex Discussion / replacement for chain parts?
« on: January 01, 2019, 10:20:45 pm »
So i finally got some decent amount of K'nex and was looking at the instructions of the big ball factory.
However, i am WAY short on the black chains you need to make so your ball lift will work.

Does anyone know a good alternative for it?

So found out what i am actually looking for lol
They are catalogues that you get from buying a knex set back in the day (they came with the models)
Some big, some a foldable paper. Sometimes they had them at the stores too as a booklet.

Anyone got these lying around  they like to share? :P

I have a booklet from 1996 I believe! give me some time and I'll take pictures  ;D

Did you get the time for some sexy photo's? :)

Yes! I made a link to a Google Drive folder, because separate images don't seem to work very well.

Thanks for the pictures!

Alas, it was not what i was looking for, these are actually instructions, not booklets you could find in the store to grab.
Still, thank you for the effort :)

screw that machine, what is that little contraption you made at the fan? (at the right side of the first picture)
Looks like a picture holder, but it couldn't be that simple...could it?

During Kingsday I found the rare yellow 3D connectors... 4 of each. This motivated me to yellow-ize the Sports Car. You can see the result so far below. I'm thinking to make the interior in yellow too.
The yellow steering wheel fits great :) Only I'm not happy about the window-stiles.

Looks great!

Introduce Yourself / Hello there!

Hey!

I am a K'nex veteran, played with the stuff since i was 7 (now almost 30, ugh i get old ;A; ) and never really lost interest in the K'nex scene, but did sold my old K'nex because of other hobbies.

Recently i have been collecting K'nex again and was wondering what i should do with it so i was looking for instructions / creations of others to look for inspiritation for my own projects.

So i stumbled onto this site through sheer luck to be honest and was impressed by some of the models displayed on the site (2 starwars themed models). So i decided to, join hoping the site would grow bigger with more fans (it is quite recent i guess? since the member count is not that high yet and the activity on the forums quite low).

I do not really have anything cool to show-off at the moment though, but i will be lurking / commenting whenever i see something cool :)

Of course when i DO have a project of my own, i will share it with you guys/girls ;)
