Newbie alert!
« on: July 10, 2018, 03:25:43 am »
So I've been wanting to build a ball machine for ages, and I picked up a used bunch of k'nex offa craigslist. No instructions, unfortunately, but some balls and chains and things (it was a mixed bag). I'm trying to find a place that will show how to build a simple chain lift; I've got a chain going up, but I can't quite seem to make the thing that "catches" the ball. I'm sure there's a standard shape or something, but can't seem to find it. The Instructables guide I found has like 70 different lifts so I'm just trying to find a simple, bare-bones-but-works one with easy instructions. If I can get the friggin' ball up in the air, I can see about rolling it around. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't worry, you'll pick it up! It's a learning process. What I suggest doing is making your structure on a grid of red rods and blue rods, that way it's alot easier! Good luck and welcome to the K'nex community  ;D
