How to post instructions
Creating an instruction
In order to post instructions here you first have to create them, either through the navigation "Instructions" --> "New Instruction" or by following this link.

Editing
After that you enter the edit menu, it will look like this:

All in the top you have tools for certain things such as saving the instruction, adding a step, deleting a step or a preview.

Underneath you have a list of all the steps, the one you are currently editing is highlighted. To change step order simply re-order those icons with drag&drop.

Underneath you can set a step title. Only the first step is required to have a step title, which will also be used for the instruction name!

Next you can edit the step content with a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, this one should be fairly simple to use.

After all that you have the menu for editing the images. The image you are currently editing is the one displayed large. On this one you can add/edit image notes.

To add an image note you have to hit the button in the top-left corner. After that you can drag it around and re-size it on the ends, when hovering over you will be presented with an input box to enter the content of that image note.

Underneath you have the list of images currently in the step. To re-arrange them simple drag&drop them around. The first image will be used as thumbnail for that step and in the case of the intro for the whole instruction. To remove an image from the step simply hit that little x button.

Next up you have the menus where you can add new images to the step. By default the uploading tab is selected, here you can upload local files.

Be sure to add a default image tag which will make it easier for you to find it later on! If the input box for the tags has a red border it means you entered something invalid. Multiple tags are separated with a comma, only letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens and underscores are allowed!

You can also add a previously uploaded image, for that you need to go to the image library tab. Here you can filter the images by tags. When clicking on an image it'll be added to the current step, hitting the little x button will delete the image completely. This cannot be undone.

Creating an instruction
To publish an instruction you need to hit the button "publish instruction" in the toolbar.

In order to be able to publish an instruction you need to make sure that the first step has at least one image and a title!

Here you have to set the category in which your instruction will land. If you do not have permission to publish your instruction to a category (typical the "Instructions" category, as you are supposed to specify it more closely) the drop-down bar will have a red border.

After that you can change the forum post that will be posted alongside with publishing, it has some magic constants:
  • {NAME} - Name of your instruction
  • {URL} - The URL (link) to your instruction
  • {IMG} - The URL of the image of your instruction
  • {INTRO} - The content of the intro of your instruction

If you don't want to submit a forum topic when publishing just make the whole input box blank.
