Dear Builder! Do you want to participate in a K'NEX contest to win cool prizes?

Participate now by building a K'NEX tower consisting of maximum 50 pieces!
The challenge is to make the tower as high as possible, but it must be able to support 4 Large K'NEX wheels on top! (weight: 202 grams / 7.12 ounces, see image below)

  • Maximum use of 50 pieces; this may be any of the pieces pictured below (see 2nd image)
  • The tower must be able to support 4 Large K'NEX wheels for at least 2 minutes
  • Only one submission for every KnexFlux member allowed
  • Submissions must be submitted before the enddate: 15th of July 2017, at 13:00 hours (UTC +01:00 (Amsterdam time))
  • Submissions must be re-buildable by the organisator to validate the design. Clear photos, a video or full instructions must therefore be provided! If this isn't the case, the organisator will let you know and will allow you to update or add extra photos.
  • Submissions must be a Personal Message to @GWorks including photo's and/or links to the video. This can be done with imgur, or any other such site and then in your PM, link to the picture you've made.
    OR: you can send an e-mail to
  • Participants must include at least a total part count, preferably a piece-by-piece count. This will make judging a lot faster.
  • If you don't have 4 Large K'NEX Wheels, you may use a similar weight, but show it in the pictures.
  • First Prize: 20€ (or equivalent in your currency)
  • Second Prize: 10€
  • Third Prize: 5€
  • Most Beautiful tower: Mention in profile (will be selected by public poll after the competition)
  • Strongest tower: Mention in profile
  • Least pieces used: Mention in profile
Testing & Judging:

The towers will be built by @GWorks to validate the design. The towers will be replicated identically.
First the weight on top of the tower will be the required 4 large wheels (202 grams), if the tower passes the test, more wheels will be added, until the tower breaks/falls over.
To show the judging has been done in a fair way, the tests will be filmed and the final result will be put in a video.
It is possible to win both a money-prize and a title-prize.

Important dates:
  • Starting Date: 1st of July 2017
  • End / Closing Date: 15th of July 2017 at 13:00 hours (UTC +01:00)
  • Winners will be announced before: 31st of July 2017
Good luck in the contest, we hope to see your best creations!

Shadow Box/Display Case
--> View Model

My husband has been wanting a shadow box for his gaming action figures. I couldn't find very many that would accommodate them. So, I made him a K'nex display case!

K'NEX Anakin's Podracer
--> View Instruction

In this Instructable I will show you how to make Anakin's Podracer from the Star Wars universe! A podracer is a futuristic racing craft travelling at speeds of up to 1000 km/h (620 mph). Anakin's racer is partly self-built when he was 9 years old. Although fragile, Anakin's podracer is the fastest as seen in the movie.
This model is about 40 cm long, 25 cm wide and 15 cm high. I finished this model a little before Sebulba's Podracer and it's a little smaller. It's not completely accurate to the original, but it's pretty hard because there are only a few yellow pieces. The model took me about 1 week to build and the video took 20 hours of shooting and editing.
The steps are like this:
  • Parts Needed
  • Building the cart
  • Building the Engines & Finishing up

K'NEX Sebulba's Podracer
--> View Instruction

In this Instructable I will show you how to make Sebulba's Podracer from the Star Wars universe! A podracer is a futuristic racing craft travelling at speeds of up to 1000 km/h (620 mph). Sebulba's racer is highly modified and features (illegal) weapons such as a flamethrower or a buzzsaw.
This model is about 50 cm long, 45 cm wide and 20 cm high. It comes with 2 Solar motors that turn around when sun/a bright lamp shines on one or 2 solar panels. The model took me about 2 weeks to build and 20 hours of video shooting and editing.
The steps are like this:
  • Parts Needed
  • Display Stand + Sebulba's Cockpit
  • Building the Split-X Engines
  • Wiring & Finishing up
Here you can see a video of the model, together with my Anakin's Podracer: [Ible coming soon]

K'nex Ball Machine Impossible
--> View Model

Hi there!
After 10 months of work, we're proud to present you our biggest k'nex ball machine: Impossible! This is by far our biggest k'nex ball machine ever, and has: 13 paths, 7 lifts divided into 2 networks. The whole thing runs on 2 motors, but a 3rd is necessary for an element. It is kind of confusing how the lifts are divided, so I'll tell you how it works. The first motor runs the top 2 arm lifts, and the wheel lift in network 1, and the chain lift in network 2. The second motor runs the first and second lift in network 2, the bottom arm lift in network 1, and the separator for network 1.
Some stats:
Height: 2.31 meters (7' 7'')
With and depth: 91 cm (3')
Number of pieces: 21,727
Number of balls: 20
Number of motors: 3
If you have any questions/comments, feel free to leave a comment or PM us.
This instructable is now an entry in the "Make it Move" contest. If you feel like it, would you vote for it? It would be much appreciated.
Thanks for watching/looking!
