KNEX tetrahedron
« on: February 26, 2016, 12:49:54 am »
So i'v been pretty inactive posting KNEX stuff and I was messing around with some parts and made this little KNEX tetrahedron it's nothing to impressive but I think it looks pretty neat and maybe some one could use the concept to make other neat KNEX stuff. It uses a ton of hinges but it could be made bigger if you used longer rods.

If you can think of a way to make this without hinges that would be great.

There you go, no hinges. The hard part is to get the 60° angle working, with my solution the corners are kinda ugly, though.

Neat! Maybe there is some some way to put a second layer on it to cover the corners.

That's great! Pleasing to the eye ^^

Do you know about the platonic solids? This vid explains it well I think

And this is another great guy.

As for knex: it's a shame it's hard to make constructions with this :/ But it looks good!

The one made with yellow connectors is quite clever!

Mathsboy, I really like both of those ways that you made the tetrahedron (although, one of them is kind of in a cube)! They look really nifty.
